About Min-On's Personal Information Protection Initiatives

The Min-On Concert Association (hereafter "the Association") wants its audiences to relax and enjoy the concerts it organizes. To that end, based on the spirit of the "Statute Regarding the Protection of Personal Information" (enacted April 1, 2005), the Association has established the following policies to aid in the appropriate handling of personal information belonging to its members and guests (hereafter "Members").

  • 1. Acquisition of Personal Information

    When theAssociation acquires Members' personal information, it will clarify what the information is to be used for, and will acquire it by appropriate methods.

  • 2. Purpose of Use of Personal Information

    The Association will use personal information acquired from Members for the purposes listed below, and for no others.
    1.Information about and contact regarding concerts, special music and drama performances, music recitals, music competitions, and similar 2.Delivery of pamphlets, printed matter and tickets 3.Matters regarding the use of the Music Museum

  • 3. Security Measures for Personal Data

    1.The Association employs a personal information handlingmanager to supervise all items regarding the handling of Members' personal information. In addition, personal information handling managers will be employed at the Min-On headquarters and at each district and service center to ensure the appropriate handling of personal data. 2.The Association has instituted necessary and proper security measures in order to prevent unlawful access to, loss, destruction, falsification or leakage of personal data handled by the Association. In addition, it has implemented education and training for its personnel and other employees in order to improve their knowledge, skills and awareness.

  • 4. Provision of Personal Data to Third Parties

    The Association does not provide Members' personal data to third parties. However, it is permissible for the Association to do so in the following cases:
    1.As required by law 2.When it is necessary to do so to protect human life, physical wellbeing or property, and when it would be difficult to obtain the consent of the individual in question 3.When it is particularly necessary with regard to the improvement of public health or the promotion of the healthy development of children, and when it would be difficult to obtain the consent of the individual in question 4.When it is necessary to cooperate with a national agency, regional public body, or person commissioned by such entities in the execution of duties established by law, and when there is a risk that obtaining the consent of the individual in question would hinder the execution of said duties.

  • 5. Regarding the release or revision of personal data in the Association's possession, procedures including notification of cessation of use or purpose of use, and complaints or inquiries concerning personal information

    To request the release or revision of personal data in the Association's possession, notifications of cessation of use or purpose of use, or for complaints or inquiries regarding the Association's handling of personal information, please send your written request to the address below.Your request will be handled in good faith, or you will be given the desired information regarding the procedures.
    Understand that we will conductidentity verificationto the extent necessaryto handle your request, and that answers will, as a rule, be sent in writing by mail.
